As you may have heard, the latest executive order from Massachusetts Governor Baker to mitigate the spread of Covid-19 orders all non-essential businesses to close their physical locations and move to 100% remote operation until at least April 7th 2020.
Green Earth Computers falls into a bit of a grey area here. Computer and technology support is one of the categories that can be considered essential depending on who we are supporting. Our top priority in this situation is to slow the spread of disease in our community, protecting our staff and our customers.
We have made the difficult decision to close our store front to all walk-in business for the duration of the MA closure. We feel this is the best way we can reduce exposure for all and help flatten the curve. This means we will no longer be offering regular walk-in / drop-off computer and smartphone repairs until the governor officially announces reopening of local businesses.
We understand that computers, networks, and phones may be critical to your ability to work remotely during this time.
We will continue to offer the following services to all customers:
Remote Support - We have added more capability to assist over the internet.
Phone Support - Our offices may be closed but our phone lines are open during business hours. We are happy to answer questions.
Antivirus & Backup Solutions - Everyone needs to protect their computers and protect their files.
Remote Office Setup - Transitioning to working from home? We are here to help advise you on the best tools and how to set them up.
Refurbished Computers - We have a decent stock of refurbished computers on hand that can dropped off or shipped to you. Our on hand inventory of computers can be found here: https://www.greenearthcomputers.us/shop
For those businesses and support staff that have been deemed essential and must keep working, we are here to help!
For essential personnel and businesses we are offering the following services*:
Emergency On-site Service - Have a problem that can't be handled remotely? We will come to you.
Pick-up & drop-off - For hardware issues like cracked screens, etc that may not be best handled on-site.
Networking Hardware - We keep an on-hand inventory of routers, mesh systems, modems, and wireless cards.
