Governor Baker has published a number of clarity updates to the essential businesses list and has made it clear that computer and smartphone repair businesses are considered an essential part of supporting communications and the ability to work from home. At this time Green Earth Computers is not accepting any walk-in customers inside our shop for computer repairs. That said, we are continuously working to create new and better systems for safely handling your equipment and your essential repairs. It is clear that hardware repairs for physically broken devices are very critical at this time to the daily lives and communications needs of many people. To assist with this we have implemented limited solo technician hours with 100% unattended drop-off on a by appointment only basis. We will begin to offer the following services by appointment only as of May 5th:
Same-day smartphone and tablet repair (screens, batteries, charge ports, etc)
Unattended drop off of laptops & desktops for hardware repairs.
Please be respectful of all social distancing rules. We will only have one technician in the shop at any time and require all drop-offs to be made to our secure external drop box. We continue to encourage people with software issues and non physically damaged devices to let us assist them 100% remotely. Our work-from-home technicians will be doing our best to support all your needs. We will continue to offer the following services to all customers:
Remote Support - We have added more capability to assist over the internet. Most software problems or virus problems we can assist with in this manner.
Phone Support - Our offices may be closed but our phone lines are open during business hours. We are happy to answer questions.
Antivirus & Backup Solutions - Everyone needs to protect their computers and protect their files.
Remote Office Setup - Transitioning to working from home? We are here to help advise you on the best tools and how to set them up.
Refurbished Computers - We have a decent stock of refurbished computers on hand that can dropped off or shipped to you. Our on hand inventory of computers can be found here: https://www.greenearthcomputers.us/shop
Networking Hardware - We keep an on-hand inventory of routers, mesh systems, modems, and wireless cards. We are happy to ship these to your home and work with you remotely to set them up.
